  Ok so I very rarely take the time to leave a review. A business has to really stand out, good or bad, for me to take the time. That being said, I cannot recommend Pleasanton Computer Repair more highly. The GPU fan seized up in my MSI GS65 Stealth Thin 8RF laptop and I brought it in to have it replaced. I needed the repair done quickly since the laptop was my only computer and I had an important video call scheduled a few days later. The work was done quickly. The aftermarket fan that was sourced and rush shipped to accommodate my deadline functionally cooled the GPU, however it made a sound that was loud enough to be heard on the other end of my video call. I brought it back and they replaced the replacement, even installing a new CPU fan, all free of charge, as the fans were purchased as a set. Unfortunately within an hour of use the new CPU fan began making a loud clicking/grinding noise, and the GPU fan for some reason was loudly cycling even when the temperatures were low/moderate! After some back and forth discussing the issue they once again agreed to replace the fans. Third times a charm! The laptop is now cooling efficiently and is running nearly silently at normal temperatures. This laptop was a fairly high end machine when I bought it just a few years ago and I was starting to lose hope that it would ever function this well again. Gabe, Karla and every other employee I encountered through this ordeal were extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating, even though they had to go back and redo this job multiple times. If you need computer repairs you can trust this company to treat you fairly. I am local, but service like this is worth a drive. Pleasanton Computer Repair is the only computer repair shop I would recommend, and in the future I won't take my business anywhere else.

  My 2014 MacBook Pro was stuck yesterday after I used Core Patcher to load Monterey and then Sonoma. Shouldn't have done that. I could not bring up the desktop and felt alone 🙁

I called Pleasanton Computer Repair and brought the machine in. They restored the desktop for only the diagnostic fee! I picked it up today and am attached to it again:)

  I had a very positive experience working with Faruq as he was very attentive and punctual with my repairs.

I was in a real bind with having my main business computer out of service and he was able to accommodate my needs by getting back to me when he promised on the quote and analysis and continued to go above and beyond by getting my computer up and running with in a day.

I would definitely trust them with any future repair needs and really appreciated the no BS approach to the process. I felt the cost was also fair considering the urgency in which I needed this completed so I appreciated that as well.

  Very thorough analysis and fair pricing of my daughter's MacBook Pro. Though I opted to replace the computer opposed to repair, I felt better about the decision. Definitely will be back if another need arises.

  My laptop (Lenevo 460) died suddenly. After trying to hard reboot it multiple times and looked for answers thru google, I decided to go to Pleasanton Computer Repair. Within the same day they discovered the problem. Somehow the internal hardware was loosened up.
I am very impressed with their honesty and how quick they were able to fix it. They could have charged me a lot more because I never suspected the root cause and I did not have the tool to open up the laptop.

  Mohamed is the best! Went to him months ago to fix my destroyed IPhone screen and add a screen protector and phone protector which is pretty with the bling and butterfly. Came back today to get my husband's Samsung screen replaced plus protector which he fixed in a reasonable amount of time while i looked for another phone protector which he ended up locating the right size and color I wanted. He knows his stuff and is always pleasant to talk to. Definitely will see him when my construction worker husband breaks his next screen lol thanks Mohamed!!!

  Very professional work and ethics. My PC just refused to turn on. I took it in on a Monday afternoon and KC signed me in and sent me a full diagnosis in a couple of days. Besides the power supply fubar they also verified that the boot drive is only 8% health. Two days after I got my PC back with new SSD and power supply. They have a good ticketing system that provides the elaboration of the diagnosis and updates on the repair. Very frictionless and very methodical. Super loved this place specially since I am an engineer myself. And best part I get to support a local town business. Highly recommend this place.

  I spilled coffee (a lot) on my laptop keyboard this morning, days before a 2-week business trip where I need to bring it with me. I turned it upside down to drained it as much as I could, then called Pleasanton Computer repair as soon as they opened, (by now it's been 90 minutes since the spill, and the touchpad had stopped working). KC said to bring it in, the sooner the better, as coffee contains certain elements that can cause corrosion. Ugh. Forty minutes later I handed the laptop over to KC, who said he'd call me with an update, and that I have to leave there for a couple of days. Four hours later, he called and said he'd taken the whole thing apart, dried it, cleaned it, and got the touchpad working...and it was good to go. (He didn't promise there wouldn't be future complications, but was pretty confident there shouldn't be). I'm already back home working. So happy, so grateful. Thank you KC!!!
